Dominika Marko

Domi is a dancer and founding member of Rustiqua Dance Company. The group was established in 2008 and has been successful in Slovakia and abroad for nine years. She had the opportunity to teach Tribal Fusion bellydance dance workshops and perform with the group at international festivals in Israel, America and across Europe. Of course, all the time, she was constantly dancing and had the opportunity to train with some of the most influential dancers in the world: Tribal Fusion, Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Mardi Love, Mira Betz, Amy Sigil, Ariellah, April Rose, Jill Parker and, last but not least, Suhaila Salimpour, with whom she was able to study two dance formats – Suhaila and Jamila Format, in which she was certified. All these teachers contributed to the way her dance looks today.
In 2015, she participated in the ODI (Orchidaceae Dance Intensive) in Lisbon, led by Pin Orchidaceae. Dance intensive based on urban / street dance styles opened the door to new possibilities. She enjoyed house dance, hip hop and popping. She began to learn these styles under the guidance of Leo Orchidaceae and gradually incorporated them into her movement, focusing on herself as a solo dancer and thus creating a unique dance fusion. In 2016 she graduated from physiotherapy and tries to use her knowledge both in her teaching and in the dance itself. Dominica is currently living in Bratislava, where she teaches regular Tribal Fusion dance lessons as well as more experimental Urban Fusion lessons.
